Peter Sharp - Chief Executive Officer

Peter Sharp is the President and CEO of Eastpoint Funding Group. For more than 20 years Mr. Sharp focused on providing leading U.S. real estate developers with access to major financial institutions and capital markets. Since 1999, Mr. Sharp has originated and closed in excess of $2.5 billion of multifamily transactions.

From 2006 to 2010, Mr. Sharp served as a Director of Greystone Servicing Corporation, where he originated complex tax exempt multifamily bond transactions, concentrating on the various product lines of Agency Low Income Tax Credit debt products as well as loan portfolio acquisitions.

From 2004 to 2006 Mr. Sharp served as Senior Vice President of American Property Finance, where he originated 9% LIHTC loans and bond credit enhancements, with an emphasis on 501C3 transactions and equity participations.

From 2001 to 2004 Mr. Sharp served as Senior Vice President of Capri Capital and concentrated in bond/affordable housing tax credit loans as well as collateral pools, mezzanine and equity transactions. 

From 1999 to June 2001 Mr. Sharp served as Director of Commercial Finance at AMI Capital and was responsible for the origination and placement of loans nationwide for office, industrial, retail centers and hotels.  He was also involved in raising equity on behalf of clients.

Prior to joining AMI Capital in April 1999, he was a partner at The Parmenter Company, a real estate acquisition and finance firm. 

While serving as managing partner of Peter Sharp & Company, a Washington, D.C. based mortgage banking company, Mr. Sharp structured numerous diverse loan transactions including single asset credits, multi-state commercial portfolios, and low income tax credit enhancements.  Additionally, Mr. Sharp served as a consultant and regional affiliate to Allied Capital Commercial Corporation, a publicly traded real estate investment trust located in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Sharp received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Rollins College in 1977.
